GICHI GAMI

Vast, restless, and elemental, stretching beyond the limits of the horizon, Lake Superior's moods shift with the light, from tranquil expanses of silver and blue to storm-dark waters exploding against ancient stone. Along its shores, ice, rock, mist, and water are continually reshaped by wind and time. These photographs are an exploration of that enduring dialogue between land and water, seeking moments when the lake reveals something both intimate and immense.

A photograph should say as much about the
artist
as it does about the subject.
