Cape Hatteras sunrise, Outer Banks

This image was taken the same morning as The Lonely Shore. After photographing the stunning sunrise on the Atlantic side of Cape Hatteras, my private workshop clients and I dashed several hundred feet across the sand to photograph interesting cloud patterns above the bay-side surf. Nags Head Fishing Pier, Outer Banks, North Carolina

Okay, I know that I don’t often include “the hand of man” in my photographs, but the old rickety fishing piers on the Outer Banks of North Carolina make great subjects. Stunning sunrise, Outer Banks, North Carolina

I recently spent several days photographing the Outer Banks of North Carolina while leading two clients on a private workshop.
