Chincoteague Boot Camp March 9-10

After our very successful Chincoteague Photo Boot Camp in February, Joe Rossbach and I decided to offer a second workshop March 9-10. The response has been overwhelming so far, and within just two weeks we are now almost full. At last count we had four spots left on the workshop, so if you want to join us for this special event I encourage you to register now before it is too late! We’ve organized this workshop so that you can kick-start your photography and get your creative juices flowing for 2013. Join us for a hands-on, two-day, intensive classroom and field experience in beautiful Chincoteague, Virginia, known for its abundant wildlife and beautiful Atlantic Ocean waterfront.

During the workshop, we’ll teach you a variety of techniques that will allow you to advance both your technical skills and artistic vision. We focus on a number of professional field techniques to help you create dramatic and powerful nature images, including working with dramatic light, the fundamentals of powerful compositions, and abstract techniques for creating artistic photographs. We’ll also teach you professional “digital darkroom” secrets and explore a number of artistic philosophies that will help you find your own personal vision.

We had a great time with our first group, and I don’t think I am going out on a limb in saying that they had a great time too. If you are interested in taking your skills to the next level, then this workshop is for you.

This is going to be an intense weekend! Think of it as a two-day classroom seminar with plenty of field instruction added in. We’ll work hard to make sure you learn as much as you can. All skill levels are welcome. Click here for more information or to register.

  • Hi Ian! Amazing photographs, the lighting is amazing.
I am on my last year of high school and would love to get into landscape photography. I just found this websight on google, while doing a photography research project, and I came across your photos and was completely stunned! I love them all.
You are now an insperation of mine, I hope to be at least half as good as you.
I will definetly be checking back from time to time to see your new photos, and maybe get some ideas or insperation from them!
