Colorado Autumn Composition Master Class October 2-6
I am pleased to announce the San Juan Autumn Composition Master Class on October 2nd though the 6th. Join the authors of the hit book Visual Flow for a celebration of the spirit amidst the riotous color of the fabulous San Juan Mountains. The flaming aspen covered mountains of Southwest Colorado have long been like a voice whispering in my ear, an insistent vesper pulling me closer and closer to my personal idea of photographic nirvana. For 12 consecutive years I answered that call of the wild, and now am excited to offer this workshop opportunity to you (along with with my good friend Ian Plant).
Colorado is world famous for its yearly explosion of autumnal color and its abundant photographic opportunity. Multi-colored aspen trees will stretch beneath you like a carpet on Kebler Pass and reflect in mountain lakes and tarns along the Last Dollar Highway. The constantly changing weather of the season will gather around towering and majestic 14,000 foot peaks. This celebration of photography will be centered in the towns of Ridgeway and Crested Butte. Highlights of the trip will include Kebler Pass, Lost Lake, the Dallas Divide, Last Dollar Road, Owl Creek Pass, Silver Jack Reservoir, and Mount Sneffels.
Rocky Mountain High in Colorado! Let Ian and myself show you exactly what that means!

Having for the first time visited this area last fall I can definitely say this is one of those areas of our country you should see. And October is THE perfect time. I was a bit late for the peak of colors but it was still awesome.
Michael, thanks for stopping by. Last years season was more than a bit early….
