My top ten from Sweden during 2012

In an earlier post Ian shared his best images from 2012. As he mentioned it is a difficult task to find the best ones, but it´s always a good lesson to try.

Even though it´s strange to sort your pictures in years it´s always interesting to go back and bring back those great memories through the pictures you have taken. For me 2012 was an exciting year with two great trips to the southwest US. Some of my personal favorites are from those trips, but I will not show you those pictures now. For this blog post I have made a selection of my 10 best pictures from my home country Sweden to give you an idea of what I like to photograph here. During 2013 I will probably stay in Sweden for most of the time to further explore this great landscape.

  • Great set Patrik – my favorite is “Early morning sunrise, Stenshuvuds national park – Sweden”

    • Thanks Ian! Thought that you might like that one :)

      • Am I that predictable? Or is it that you just know how really good that image is!

        • It´s a good image and yes you are predictable ;)

  • Some lovely pictures here . I particularly like the water ones.

    • Water is a great subject to me. We have a really long coastline with a lot of great places. Thanks for your comment.

  • I like the shiny rocks shot , but not too keen on the others and b&w , to me always need to be in colour – its like there missing a 3rd dimension

    • Good point about the B&W Stephen, I like the B&W because to me it ads a dimension. Funny how different two people see the same picture. :)

  • Lovely set of images Patrik!! If i were to choose my favorite from set, it would be “Early morning sunrise”.

    • Thats a very special picture to me so I´m glad you like it!
      Thanks for the comment!

  • A nice set of images. Stormy Night and Late Summer Night will have to be my personal favourites from this set. The two last ones come from my own inland part of Sweden (3 hours away), which might explain why I tend to favor images from the coast.

  • Thanks Magnus! But you have to admit that your part of Sweden is really nice! Although I´m more of a costal guy.

  • They’re all very nice photos. The b/w ones are my favorite. Thanks for sharing.

    • Great to read your comment Dirk! Thanks!

  • Beautiful set Patrik. I’m particularly loving the two black and whites!

    • Thanks Kurt! The interesting about the B&W are that they both are shoot during autumn. Color can be really good in B&W. :)

  • Riktigt bra. Den översta är magiskt bra – kan inte riktigt förklara varför :)

  • Really nice images!

  • Gorgeous work Patrik! My faves are Spring Branches, Silent Morning, and Mossy Rocks, but all are beautiful.
